Frequently Asked Questions

Where are you based?
I am based in Northwich, Cheshire. I make cakes and bakes for local pick up/deliveries but I also posted delicious treats around the UK every Thursday. Most weekend I pop up at different markets around Cheshire, follow me on social media for the latest updates.

Do you make celebration/birthday cakes?

Unfortunately I no longer make celebration cakes due to being a busy brownie baker instead. I'm usually at a market most weekends so unfortunately don't have time to make celebration cakes any more, however I do make celebration brownies, headed to the "Loaded Bakes" or "Seasonal & Occasions" Pages to see what's on offer.

Can you deliver?
Yes I deliver locally in Northwich for free or in the surrounding area for a small fee or cakes can be collected for free from Riverside Organic Farm Shop.

I’m collecting my treats, how do I travel with them?

Make sure you're treats are laid flat, no one wants smushed brownie (or do we...) Make sure your car isn't hot and drive carefully, your bake is precious cargo! On a warm day pop you're treats into a fridge as soon as possible.

Do you make gluten free and vegan cakes?
Currently I only make 'low gluten cakes'. All of the brownies, and any cakes on request, are made with gluten free flour, However, I handle all allergen groups in my kitchen so cannot guarantee that there isn't any cross contamination during baking/packaging process. No I don't make vegan cakes, dairy free cakes can be made upon request but please contact me first. All bakes either include eggs or butter so aren't vegan friendly, but I'm currently working on a vegan brownie to take to markets so watch this space!

Can I warm my treats up?

Absolutely!! Warm brownie and ice cream...yes please!! Your treat will only need 10-20 seconds in the microwave to get gooey. Heat it up a few seconds at a time so you don't burn it. Or you can pop your cookies in the oven for 5 to 10 minutes if you want to keep the texture. Please be careful when handling as the centre of your bake can become very hot!

How long will my treats stay fresh? All the bakes are made without artificial preservatives and we always recommend eating them on the day to enjoy them at their best. Brownies and traybakes will stay fresh for around 12 days and can be stored either in the fridge (when the weather is warm) or at room temperature, again they may start to dry out in the fridge

Can I freeze my cake?
Yes absolutely. If you have any treats left you can either wrap it in clingfilm or put it in an airtight container (basically anything to protect it from the frost) and pop it in the freezer. Your cake will last for 3 months frozen. To defrost, just remove from the freezer and leave at room temperature for a couple of hours. Top tip - keep it in the container/wrap it was frozen in until its fully defrosted. This will stop condensation getting on your yummy treat.
